Jeju black pine grows along the coast of Jeju island. Bark of tree is black due to strong sea breeze and salt.
Using pine tree leaf to cover foods as preservative is still quite common in Korea. Leaf acts as anti-microbial agent due to its
richness in Terpene, a-pinene, flavonoids and proanthoxyanidin.
For Sustainable sourcing and to protect Jeju pine tree species, we only collect fallen leaves from ground to manufacture product.
